Ultimate Ford GT40 – The Definitive History

Ultimate Ford GT40 – The Definitive History

The forthcoming Porter Press International Ultimate GT40 project has proved to be a mammoth undertaking. This landmark work will comprise four volumes, which will build into a unique in-depth study of the GT40. From its roots in the early 1960s through the challenges of its formative racing career, to four consecutive Le Mans 24 Hours victories, every aspect of the GT40 and its remarkable history will be analysed and documented.

Volumes 1, 3 & 4 by John S Allen, Graham Endeacott & Mark Cole with Mike Teske

Volume 2 by Ronnie Spain

Available in Limited, Collector’s and Owner’s Editions.

The volumes will be published individually and we very much hope to have Vol 1 available from mid/late November, to be followed by Vol 2 in early 2025, with Vols 3 and 4 to be launched during the year. More detail to follow soon. Please sign up for our Newsletter to be kept informed.

Customer Testimonials

'It’s tempting to describe Porter Press International as the ‘Rolex’ of publishing, after all, as with the watches, PPI books are expensive, exquisitely well-crafted and serve as leading items of reference. More, they are also attractive to look at, great to handle and their intrinsic quality will still be appreciated in fifty years’ time, probably much longer.'

Peter Baker, Retro-Speed

Excellent service and products'Having purchased several other books from Porter Press, I was excited to see this title and ordered it. It arrived quickly and the quality of the book is phenomenal. The photography is stunning and sharp, the text informative and well written. Highly recommended.'

Brett M.

'Congratulations on the great two volume GTO book from Porter Press. I received my copy about a week ago and I am still reading through it. Lots of new material and photos make the book a real treasure. This certainly will be the final and ultimate GTO book. It puts all the previous ones out to pasture.'
