The company established its reputation as a leading publisher of top-quality motoring books with the segment-defining ‘Great Cars’ series, which has won numerous awards. Subjects include the double Le Mans-winning Gulf Ford GT40, Ross Brawn’s Ferrari 250 GT SWB, the Le Mans-winning Jaguar C-type and a particularly important Ferrari 250 GTO.
The sister series ‘Exceptional Cars’ is also well established and includes titles on the first three AC Cobras, an important GT40 and the Le Mans class-winning Bizzarrini.
The flagship ‘Ultimate’ series covers major motoring subjects in exceptional depth. The dedicated Porter Press in-house team are based in a restored thatched 16th century barn at Philip and Julie's rural home in Worcestershire, England where Philip has lived for more than 40 years. Many of the office team, and those based remotely, have worked with the Porters for more than 10 years and take enormous pride in their work.
